Ladies who launch: Aleksandra Drigo on her iGaming journey

Aleksandra Drigo, Chief of Business Development at SEOBROTHERS, spoke to iGaming News about her career journey, the role of women in leadership within the iGaming industry, SEOBROTHERS’ commitment to creating transparent and valuable affiliate products, and the challenges the sector faces in an increasingly competitive and regulated market.

As the iGaming industry continues to evolve, its growth is being shaped by leaders across a wide range of disciplines, from technology and analytics to operations and business development. Among them are women who are leading teams, defining strategy, and contributing to the success of some of the sector’s most dynamic companies.

To highlight these achievements and amplify female voices across the sector, iGaming News launched Ladies Who Launch, a dedicated feature series designed to spotlight women who have built, launched, and scaled businesses throughout the industry.

At SEOBROTHERS, women represent 55.9% of the workforce, with seven leadership positions held by female professionals. Women head five key departments across the company, including Business Development, HR, Content, Operations, and Finance.

One of them is Aleksandra, Chief of Business Development and board member, whose journey into iGaming began entirely by chance. Remarkably, she advanced from Team Lead to a C-level role in just one year and now leads a team of nine professionals.

Aleksandra shares with iGaming News how an unexpected career move led her into iGaming and ultimately to a board-level position. She discusses the company’s commitment to transparency and user-focused affiliate products, the challenges of navigating an increasingly competitive and regulated market, and why creating more opportunities for female leaders remains essential for the industry’s future.

How did it all begin?

Aleksandra’s entry into iGaming was unexpected. What began as an administrative role evolved into a career spanning recruitment, HR, account management, and eventually business development. Within just one year, she progressed from Team Lead to Chief of Business Development.

“I entered the iGaming industry completely by accident. Before that, I worked as a sports gymnastics coach. Over time, I became involved in recruitment, HR, account management, analytics, and partnerships. Later, I chose to focus fully on sales and business development because I enjoyed communication, negotiations, strategy, and building long-term relationships,” Aleksandra said.

Female leadership brings a different perspective

Aleksandra believes women often bring a valuable combination of analytical thinking, emotional intelligence, and attention to detail. At the same time, she acknowledges that barriers to leadership still exist within parts of the industry.

“I believe women often bring a strong combination of analytical thinking, emotional intelligence, and multitasking abilities, which are extremely valuable in a fast-moving industry like ours.”

Building affiliate products around trust and transparency

SEOBROTHERS identified a major gap in the affiliate market: a lack of genuinely useful and transparent products for players. The company focused on creating platforms that prioritize user value over rankings alone.

“There are many casino review websites online, but very few provide honest, detailed, and genuinely useful information for players. Too often, affiliate websites focus only on ranking highly in Google instead of building trust with users or creating a valuable product experience.”

What it means for SEOBROTHERS

According to Aleksandra, sustainable growth comes from investing in people, adapting quickly to change, and building long-term partnerships rather than focusing solely on short-term gains.

“One of the key factors behind our growth has been focusing on people and long-term relationships rather than only short-term results. Internally, we strongly believe that when you genuinely support your team, invest in employees, and create an environment where people feel valued, they return that energy through motivation, loyalty, and performance.”
